As a hypnotherapist, my vision is to help people to help themselves overcome matters of the mind. It may be anxieties, phobias, stress, trauma, behavioral disorders or even just the immediate recovery from bad habits such as smoking. Passion drives my practice, and compassion gives it purpose. Why hypnotherapy?

Good Health often begins with a Healthy Mind.  A healthy mind leads to a healthier lifestyle, hence promoting better health and better quality of life.  The days of believing that the health of mind and body to be separate issues are long gone.  We now understand that the physical and psychological well-being are inseparable.  Based on this understanding, there are a number of issues which can be dealt using the unique state of hypnosis and making a change at the unconscious level in a natural, fast and non-physical way.

Hypnotherapy is used in conjunction with other cognitive and behavioural approaches, which just means looking at how you think, and what you do around the problem.  I specialise in brief solution-focussed hypnotherapy.  This means that we will usually focus on problem solving and long term results, rather than counselling, analysis or exploration.  As a result, the therapy will always have a clear defined goal.  I believe that the approach to changing the quality of your life is seldom analytical and should not take weeks or months about talking about the past.  Instead, we establish what you want, and use the appropriate approaches of hypnotherapy to get it.

A hypnotherapist will be trained adequately in practice and theory to assist and show clients how to achieve a rapid and elegant change in their life.  Hypnotherapy deals with our subconscious mind,  the part of our mind that deals with emotions, habits, memories, learning etc to bring about rapid physical and mental transformation, well-being and recovery.  Hypnotherapy provides new learnings to the subconscious mind rather than the conscious mind, hence the effects of treatment are long term and lasting.

Hypnotherapy is a no-nonsense result-oriented treatment method, hence making it time-saving and overall more cost-effective.  The short duration of treatment makes it suitable for those seeking faster relief and recovery.  For patients presenting problems such as smoking and phobia, usually 2 to 3 sessions is sufficient to eliminate the problem.  For other problems, sessions usually range from 4 to 6.  Such cases usually include ongoing personal development, multiple issues or depression.  It is always made clear in the first session, how long the treatment is expected to take.

Hypnotherapy is now regarded as one of the foremost effective means that we have today for resolving psychosomatic illnesses and since a large percentage of illnesses and ailments are psychosomatic in nature, it can resolve a large range of issues safely and quickly.
